Do little things really matter?

Most times, it’s as if our gaze is on bigger things that we consciously or unconsciously neglect the little things that matter.

We sometimes desire to possess big and great things that we forget that they all start from those little things which we often neglect.

Just look around you and within you. The big changes you see daily results from the little differences that have interacted together.

In what way should this then affect our lives and the way we think? Understanding the peculiarities of little things will help you handle and master the great things ahead of you that you sometimes desire to possess.

Viewing the Bible as a random book one finds anywhere is really one thing that should be changed.

Amongst the number of books all around us, the Bible stands out to give numerous principles that cut across our day-to-day activities.

One of these principles include the words of Jesus.

Luke 16:10

He who is faithful in a very little [thing] is faithful also in much, and he who is dishonest and unjust in a very little [thing] is dishonest and unjust also in much.

Sincerely, don’t you wonder how possible being faithful in little [things] helps in much?

Understanding what Jesus meant will go a long way to help in the way we handle things. It will open up our minds to see beyond the present.

There is more to faithfulness than being loyal, trustworthy, reliable, and adhering firmly to a person or cause. What about its definition as being consistent with reality?

Who then in 2009 would have desired to eat two Pizzas with about 10,000 Bitcoins!!! A Norwegian man who bought $27 worth of bitcoins in 2009 and forgot about them discovered their value had since shot up – to $980,000 at today’s price.

Zechariah 4:10a

For who hath despised the day of small things?

Hey there! It doesn’t matter how little your reward might seem now. Just keep doing what you ought to do consistently and right. You would be surprised how great they will amount to later on. A tree is not formed in a day. When the time comes for fruiting I’m certain the labour of planting would be forgotten.

The desire to earn that big amount isn’t enough. What’s with your accountability for the little left in your account? Sometimes we desire to have an abundance of resources to help out. What about the little in your care?

You never can tell. Just press on! Read those pages, Pray those minutes, get that course material, start that business, develop that idea, save those earnings, keep the blogging consistent, manage well your followers, little by little. Wait for it.

Your desires might be far beyond imagination. Just to let you know, you had started a long time ago and have been tested with little things which you could never imagine. Who knows, your characters might be in check for tomorrow. Admit those weaknesses and trust God’s strength to help you out.

1 Corinthians 12:9a

But He said to me, My grace is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness.

Shalom! Thanks so much for getting this far. You are loved 😍

  1. This post is really great. Acknowledging my weaknesses everytime I fall and daily declaring the scriptures is helping me realise who I am and what I carry.

It can be hard to be consistent but I’m drawing up a plan to be diligent and consistent with God.

  2. This is actually timely especially in a time and generation like ours

The little things do matter. We effect big changes by being consistent with little ones. We increase our capacity for bigger things by being faithful with smaller ones.
