I shouldn’t have kept quiet 🤫

The things we all go through every moment of our lives differ from one level to another. You never can tell what moments different people are facing, and the swings of emotions occurring within them. In all of these, you really are instrumental in causing tremendous changes wherever you find yourself. It’s an opportunity that comes daily, and don’t you dare miss it, for it can change a lot.

When was the last time you saw someone dressed in a beautiful apparel? Perhaps it was a new pair of shoes. Maybe yours wasn’t that, but the boldness you saw a friend of yours exhibit right before your eyes. Every day there are lots of activities, amazement, surprises, reactions, and creativity.

There is something to talk about, be conscious!

A few weeks ago, while I rocked a new shoe I got from a store, I met someone I believe has a wonderful heart. As I walked past a particular street, he saw me and was walking in the opposite direction. He said, ” I love your shoes”

😂 😂 Hey Yinka, you need to control yourself! I said thank you, and we moved. I had to move a little bit further to fully express my excitement as I laughed and smiled that morning while going to school.

Yesterday it was my turn to speak up. On my way to class, I saw a fine young man dressed well with a nice pair of shoes. Whoosh! While he passed by few steps away, I looked back, called him, and said “I love your shoes”. He smiled and it meant a lot to me. I shouldn’t have kept quiet and I am glad I didn’t.

Appreciating people goes a long way to help both parties (the appreciator or appreciated). One way you appreciate people is through your words. Thank God it’s free. Don’t be proud, that you now ignore what you admire. Little did you know that you call into your life those wonderful things you appreciate. Appreciating things irrespective of their forms helps your heart and gives it a right shape.

Remember

Colossians 4:6 TPT

Let every word you speak be drenched with grace and tempered with truth and clarity. For then you will be prepared to give a respectful answer to anyone who asks about your faith.

  1. At first, I thought it should have been a “should” and not a “shouldn’t” but I totally understand and appreciate it.
But, what do you feel you should let those that see compliments as whines know?

    This means a lot.
    Thank you.

    1. I guess you’d keep appreciating them until they see your sincerity. Sooner than later, they’d understand.

    2. I’m glad you did! ☺

Oftentimes, people have been flattered and whined many times such that every other compliments said to them is viewed as whining. That shouldn’t stop you from being sincere, you sure can make a difference and change their perspective when sincerity is seen in your complements. Just like he said your sincerity will matter!

      Wow!
I’m grateful, you are welcome 🤗

  2. Yes, I quite appreciate this. You shouldn’t keep quiet when you should talk especially when talking will lift the person’spirit up like appreciation. God bless you.

  3. Really! Really, appreciating people walks a long path in making people happy and same comes back to one, vv. Learn to, if you have not been.

    Kudos Prof

  4. It’s funny how this ”someone with a wonderful heart” wouldn’t know what ripple effect a show of appreciation from them has transcended to on this platform. And beyond.

    1. Exactly bro 😄
This makes me realize how every individuals action tells a lot on other people’s story. In one way or the other, others are affected.

I love how you wrote this ☺
