The beautiful thing about looking down on others

Eyes up! πŸ‘€ πŸ‘†πŸ½ You read it right!

It all happened an afternoon after I was called to help someone close to me perform a particular task that involved operating a device. Yeah, you guessed right, a phone πŸ˜„

That wasn’t the first time I was helping people with things like that, so it wasn’t a big deal. As I did, I was annoyed by the response of the mobile device. Its network speed and response were too slow compared to what I was used to; my phone.

Oh! πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ It wasn’t funny at all o. It was frustrating as I wasn’t used to having such responses from a phone. I was used to my device and the advantages that came with its type.

Painfully this device refused to agree with me that day after spending close to an hour working on it, so I left πŸ˜”

Along the line, lines of thought flowed through my mind. πŸ˜‚ Leave the repeated “line” alone jare, and continue πŸ˜„

You see, there is nothing beautiful about looking down on others just because you have an advantage they don’t have. It’s a privilege, and you shouldn’t take it for granted.

You would be surprised to see how well people thrive if given the same opportunity you have.

I was reminded by the Holy Spirit not to forget where I was, at where I am. This is the same thing I am sharing with you.

Don’t be so far gone that you forget what it takes to attain that height and where you were before you got a leap.

Often we tend to despise people who we think we are better than. It’s so quick to forget how we were, so the need to be conscious at every moment.

Do not become proud at that time and forget the Lord your God, who rescued you from slavery in the land of Egypt.

Deuteronomy 8:14 NLT

That was a time Moses was addressing the people of Israel.

Undoubtedly they will get to the promise land. Nevertheless they had the tendency to forget how they got there.

Truth be told, it’s the same thing that can happen to us if we aren’t conscious of how much God has helped us that we begin to despise the struggle of others whose stage we might have passed.

Again, you know. There’s nothing beautiful about looking down on others. Remember;

For we don’t dare classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. But in measuring themselves by themselves and comparing themselves to themselves, they lack understanding.

2 Corinthians 10:12 CSB

It’s not a competition, move!

Have a wonderful weekend. Thank you so much for your presence. You are loved 😍 🀭

  2. Gosshhhhhhhhhhhhhh, thank you for sharing this with us. Just this week, holy spirit was communicating this same thing to me because someone did it to me and I was really Pained. Holy spirit then called my attention to never become like that to others too and gave me Galatians 6:3. I really wanted to put up a post on the pain so I can always go back to it just in case I find myself treating others badly. Thank you for putting this up, it’s a solution to the post I could not put up because I’d always come back to this. God bless you
